UAS Operations - Flood Monitoring

Grand Forks, ND – Grand Forks officials would like to inform residents that there will be flood monitoring by Unmanned Aerial Systems over the river and city starting today.  The UAS flood monitoring in conjunction with the Northern Plains UAS Test Site will occur as needed as the flood waters rise and fall.

The unmanned vehicles will be flown by credentialed operators.  The credentials were given out by local emergency services.

The initial operations will be in and around the Shadyridge/Adams Dr. area on the south end of Grand Forks.
