Features:
- Succinct printouts
- "Return Route" feature for round-trip planning
- Ranks itineraries by trip time, and secondly by number of transfers
- Customizable results filtering
- Explanations for impossible trips
- Uses dynamic HTML technology
Benefits:
- Instant Results
- Public convenience
- (Hopefully) increased ridership
- Offloads computations to user, resulting in reduced server load
Tips:
- Internet Explorer tends to run the calculations slowly. Mozilla Firefox is recommended.
- If you want to see a later shuttle, be sure to select your desired departure time in the "Advanced"
menu.
- If you get the message "A script on this page is causing your computer to run slowly...", click
"Continue" anyway. There are lots of possible routes that the program is comparing.
- Specifying a minimum number of transfers greater than 0 forces the program to check for routes
that may be faster when involving a transfer than remaining on a single bus, although the program
will still suggest
a non-transfer route if it happens to be fastest. For Grand Forks CAT, setting Minimum Transfers
= 2 is advised. Caution:Setting Minimum Transfers greater than 2 could take a very long time.
