City Bids

ADVERTISEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION BIDS

Sealed bids for the construction of 2011 Bikepath Maintenance, Project No. 6648, will be received until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 16, 2011, at the office of the Director of Finance and Administrative Services in City Hall, 255 N. 4th St., in the City of Grand Forks, North Dakota, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. Project scope of work includes the following approximate quantities:

9,200 SF of sidewalk removal, 8,950 SF of 5” concrete bikepath (10’ wide), 4 manhole chimney seals, 10 CY of granular, 20 LF of curb and gutter, 240 SF of curb ramps, and other miscellaneous work items.

Each bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing an acceptable bidder’s bond in a sum equal to five percent of the full amount of the bid, executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety, conditioned that if the principal's bid be accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, the principal, within ten days after notice of award, will execute a contract in accordance with the term of the bid and a contractor's bond as required by law and the regulations and determinations of the Grand Forks City Council.

Each bid shall contain a copy of the license or certificate of renewal thereof issued by the secretary of state enclosed in the required bid bond envelope. Bidder must be licensed for the full amount of the bid. No bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with the above provisions as to bond and license.

The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or to waive any informality in the bids received and to accept any bid deemed to be most favorable to the interest of the City of Grand Forks. The work, if awarded, shall be completed by August 15, 2011.

O. Box 5200, Grand Forks, North Dakota 58206. Plans and proposal documents may be purchased for a non-refundable fee of $40.00 per set.
