Grand Forks, ND – The City of Grand Forks annual Spring Clean Week will kick off this year with a one-day electronics recycling event at the Public Works building on Saturday, April 30, 2011. Residents can bring their electronic items to be recycled for free to the Public Works building at 724 N. 47^th St. from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. that day. Businesses may also take part in the event, but will be charged a fee.

Spring Clean Up week gets underway on Monday, May 2 and continues through Friday, May 6, 2011. The city will collect appliances, brush, furniture and household items for free during this annual collection.

Put your items out by 7 a.m. on your refuse day where you normally place your garbage – either the alley or the berm.

If you choose to haul your spring clean up items yourself, the landfill has extended hours from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from Saturday, April 30 – May 7. The landfill will be closed on Sunday, May 1.
