Grand Forks, ND – Mayor Michael R. Brown is pleased to announce the selection of current Public Works Director, Todd Feland, as the new Grand Forks City Administrator. The selection is the culmination of a national search process involving members of the City Council, city staff and community organizations.
“Mr. Feland possesses the level of executive experience, the critical and strategic thinking, and the relational skills that will serve the city and citizens well” said Mayor Michael R. Brown. “Although his exceptional tenure as Public Works Director speaks for itself, I am most excited is his ability to solidly step into this new position on the leadership team. I have the utmost confidence in his ability to bring the best out of our team and to continue our work to make Grand Forks a great place to live, learn, work, play and stay.”
Todd Feland is a native of Mandan, North Dakota and has lived in Grand Forks since 1997 when he began working for the City of Grand Forks as part of the flood recovery team. Mr. Feland became the City of Grand Forks Public Works Director in 2000 and has managed and led the Public Works Department for the last 13 years. Mr. Feland graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1994 from the University of North Dakota with undergraduate degrees in Political Science and Psychology. He graduated in 1997 from the University of North Dakota with a Masters Degree in Public Administration.
Mr. Feland is expected to assume the duties of City Administrator on November 5, 2013.
