Most city, county and state offices will be closed on Thursday, November 22, 2012 in observance of Thanksgiving. Regular City, County and State business will not be conducted on that day. However, emergency police and fire services will continue to operate as scheduled.
City services such as refuse collection will not take place on Thursday. Regular Thursday pickup for the “A” route will take place on Wednesday, November 21, and Thursday’s “B” route pickup will be on Friday, November 23, along with regularly scheduled routes.
Recycling pick-up for Thursday customers will be rescheduled to Friday, November 23, and Friday’s recycling will be picked up on Saturday, November 24, 2012. Items must be placed out for pickup by 7:00 a.m. on your designated day.
The Cities Area Transit (CAT), including City Bus, Senior Rider Bus and Dial-A-Ride will not run on Thanksgiving but will resume regular schedules and routes on Friday, November 23.
City offices will re-open for business on Friday, November 23.
All offices in the County Office building and County Courthouse will be closed on Thursday, November 22. On Friday, November 23, Northeast Human Services, Child Support offices, Public Health and District Court will re-open. All remaining county offices will reopen for business on Monday, November 26, 2012.
