Parking in downtown Grand Forks should become a lot easier on Monday, October 7, 2013. That’s when three of the five levels of the 1
Avenue Parking Ramp will reopen. The ramp is located across from Central High School, and the top two levels of the structure will reopen for Central student parking by the end of October.
The $1.9 million project has involved significant improvements that create a safer, more efficient parking environment. These include enhanced signage and color-coded parking levels to help motorists safely navigate through the ramp, larger parking spaces to accommodate bigger vehicles, and better location of general public and permit parking areas to improve traffic flow.
All general public 2-hour parking will be located on the ground (Green) level and available weekdays from 6 AM to 6 PM. All permit parking (Orange) will located above the ground level and available weekdays from 6 AM to 6 PM unless marked as 24-Hour Reserved. Central High student parking will be on the upper (Maroon) levels. Hang tags will be color-coded to the parking level on which your space is located.

Avenue Parking Ramp should contact the Office of Urban Development at 701-792-2876.
