BOARD OF ZONING ADJUSTMENT
November 19, 2009

The Board of Zoning Adjustments held a public hearing in Room A101 of City Hall. A notice was placed in the Grand Forks Herald, as required by City Ordinances.
Chairman Kent Anderson called the meeting to order at 10:30 AM.
Members present were: Kent Anderson, Lynn Vreeland, Jim Galloway, Del Scholler, and Mark Peterson
Member absent was: Bob Kleve
It was moved by Lynn Vreeland and seconded by Del Scholler to dispense with the reading of the last meeting’s minutes. Motion passed unanimously.
The following appeals were heard:
1. Gary & Lynette Sagstuen, 815 19

Ave S, have made a request for a variance to the accessory building requirements [Section18-0305 of the Land Development Code] in order to build a detached garage. Legal Description: Lot 9, Block 14, Cox’s Addition.
It was moved by Del Scholler and seconded by Kent Anderson to allow one thousand. three hundred and fifty-four (1,354) square feet of accessory building area and forty-nine percent (49%) of impervious area coverage in order to build a detached garage addition. Motion passed unanimously.
Mark Peterson moved for adjournment and was seconded by Del Scholler. Motion passed unanimously.
