Chair Report
– Marsha Gunderson
Downtown Design and Review Board – The most recent DDRB meeting dealt with the signage for the downtown Unitarian Church.
606 Reeves Drive – This is the “sister house” that Urban Development has been rehabilitating; Slater said the house looks wonderful and encouraged members to drive by.
Coordinator Report
– Peg O’Leary
State CLG Meeting – O’Leary noted that a mileage payment of approximately $25 for speaker travel remains to be paid. Other expenses include: $150 room rental; $544 catering; $500 speaker honoraria; and assorted postage and copying charges. The total conference cost will come in at under $1,500; we were budgeted $2,000.
Synagogue Nomination – The contractor has been called out of town due to a death in the family.
The Kegs NRHP Nomination – O’Leary has received the comments from the State and forwarded them to the contractor. Due to the length of time necessary to advertise and hold a local public hearing, which must be held at least a month prior to the State Review Board meeting, O’Leary anticipates presenting the nomination to the SRB in March. State comments were limited and should be readily incorporated into the nomination. Since Lorna Meidinger will be gone from January to July, 2011, O’Leary will encourage the contractor to have a draft back soon enough for Meidinger to review it this fall.
FY09 CLG Budget – The reports are being held open for a short period of time to accommodate outstanding expenses.
Granitoid – O’Leary will set up a meeting with Engineering to discuss the next steps necessary to accomplish some of the street work they want to do.
Other Business
Meeting Location – Swisher requested that one of the November HPC meetings be held at her home. O’Leary will review the agendas to see what might work best.
The Kegs – Iseminger noted that Steve Hoffbeck has an article about The Kegs in the new issue of
North Dakota Horizons
magazine.
Grand Forks Teachers Hall of Fame – Slater and O’Leary said the induction ceremony for Ted Jelliff and others was very enjoyable. A program was passed around.
Motion:
