PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAND FORKS, NORTH DAKOTA
September 8, 2008
The city council of the city of Grand Forks, North Dakota met in special session in the council chambers in City Hall on Monday, September 8, 2008 following the committee of the whole meeting with Mayor Brown presiding, pursuant to call by Mayor Brown which was served on all members. Present at roll call were Council Members Bjerke, McNamara, Glassheim, Gershman, Christensen, Kreun - 6; absent: Council Member Bakken - 1.
It was moved by Council Member Bjerke and seconded by Council Member Gershman that we go into executive session.
Howard Swanson, city attorney, stated that the motion is to convene into executive session pursuant to North Dakota Century Code 44-04-19.1 and 44-04-19.2 regarding negotiation strategies and instructions for proposed landfill site.
The motion carried 6 votes affirmative.
RECESS INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION AT 6:40 P.M.
COUNCIL RECONVENES FOLLOWING EXECUTIVE
SESSION
The city council reconvened after the executive session at 7:56 p.m. with all members present.
ADJOURN
It was moved by Council Member Kreun and seconded by Council Member Gershman that we adjourn. Carried 6 votes affirmative.
