Grand Forks Civil Service Commission
August 13, 2003
The Grand Forks Civil Service Commission was called to order at 3:31PM by
Chairperson Kvasager. Commissioners Bredemeier, MacGregor and Nies present.
Commissioner Johnson absent.

CHANGES/ADDITIONS TO AGENDA
There are no changes or additions to the agenda.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
It was moved by Bredemeier and seconded by MacGregor to approve the July 10,
2003 regular meeting minutes as presented. All approve, motion carried.

REASSIGNMENT (PROMOTIONAL) REGISTER
REVISED
Senior Equipment Operator
Mr. Hovland presented that there was an error in the calculation of points for
the Senior Equipment Operator. Points were not given for experience and have
been revised to incorporate experience points. Discussion held with employee
Ron Nikle, who stated he and others understood the error and were in agreement
with the final results.
It was moved by MacGregor and seconded by Nies to establish the reassignment
register at 71.95% as follows:

Ron Nikle
Michael Strandell
Terry Hjelmen
Matthew Aarvig
Gerald Elm
James Donken
Joe Schmidt
All approve, motion carried.


INFORMATION ONLY
The appeal hearing for Douglas Powell had been cancelled as the employee had
pulled his appeal request.
ADJOURNMENT
It was moved by Bredemeier and seconded by MacGregor to adjourn the August 13,
2003 Civil Service Commission meeting. All approve, meeting adjourned. The
meeting adjourned at approximately 3:34PM.
