MINUTES/PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE
Monday, May 1, 2000 - 7:00 p.m.___________

Members present: Bakken, Bouley, Martinson.

1. Matter of application for special alcoholic beverage permit from G.F. Goodribs, 121 N. 5th Street (wedding reception) on May 5________________________________________
Paul Waind, GF Goodribs, presented application. Moved by Martinson and Bouley to approve the request. Motion carried. (Comm.only)

2. Applications for gaming permits:
a) ND Association for the Disabled - site authorizations for 7/01/00-6/30/01
1) The Highlander, 1448 S. Washington Street.
2) Bingo Palace, South Forks Plaza
b) The ARC - Upper Valley, Inc. - site authorization for 7/01/00-6/30/01
1) Ramada Inn, Jct. I-29 & Hwy. 2 W.
c) North Star Quilters - raffle 12/09/00
All the applications had been reviewed and approved by the city attorney. Moved by Bouley and Martinson to approve the applications. Motion carried. (Comm.only)

3. Request from National Multiple Sclerosis Society to hold MS Walk 2000
Michelle Mosher presented route map for MS Walk on Saturday, May 6, 2000, walk will start at 9:00 a.m. and will stay on bikepaths, sidewalks, etc. ; and that police department had approved the request. Fire Chief O’Neill and Mr. Shields of Health Department stated they had no problem with this. Moved by Martinson and Bouley to approve the request. Motion carried. (Comm.only)
