MINUTES/GROWTH FUND AUTHORITY (JDA)
Monday, June 5, 2000 - 7:15 p.m.________________
The city council of the city of Grand Forks sitting as the Growth Fund Authority met at the council chambers at City Hall on Monday, June 5, 2000 at the hour of 7:15 p.m. with Chairman Carpenter presiding. Present at roll call were Council Members Brooks, Polovitz, Hamerlik, Bouley, Glassheim, Carpenter, Klave, Beyer, Babinchak, Hafner, Martinson, Owens - 12; absent: Council Member Lucke, Lunak - 2.
APPROVE EASEMENTS FOR WATERMAIN
PROJECT NO. 4648.2, PHASE I
The matter of temporary construction easement for watermain transmission pipeline for Watermain Project No. 4648.2, Phase I, and watermain easement for the same project were presented and read.
COUNCIL MEMBER BAKKEN REPORTED
PRESENT
Terry Hanson, Urban Development Office, reported that the two easements, one a 50 ft. temporary easement for construction purposes, and one is a 25 ft. permanent easement for the installation of a watermain that installation from the downtown water treatment plant to the clearwells located west of the RR tracks in the Industrial Park, on the frontage of property owned by the Jobs Development Authority. (Lot 1, Block 1 and Lots 1, Block 2, Maier’s Fourth Resubdivision)
It was moved by Council Member Polovitz and seconded by Council Member Hafner to approve both the permanent watermain easement and the temporary construction easement. Carried 13 votes affirmative.
ADJOURN
It was moved by Council Member Brooks and seconded by Council Member Polovitz that we do now adjourn. Carried 13 votes affirmative.
