OF THE CITY OF GRAND FORKS, NORTH DAKOTA
June 27, 2001
The city council of the city of Grand Forks, North Dakota met in special session in the council chambers in City Hall on Wednesday, June 27, 2001 at the hour of 6:50 o’clock p.m. with Mayor Brown presiding. Present at roll call were Council Members Brooks, Bjerke, Stevens, Hamerlik, Burke, Glassheim, Gershman, Lunak, Christensen, Kerian, Kreun - 11; absent: Council Member Klave, Bakken, Martinson - 3. (Council Members Gershman and Lunak on teleconference system)
Mayor Brown announced that anyone wishing to speak to any item may do so by being recognized prior to a vote being taken on the matter, and that the meeting is being televised.
APPROVE LEASE FOR RENTAL OF SPACE AT 28 SOUTH
3RD STREET
The city auditor presented the matter of the lease agreement for rental of space at 28th South 3rd Street (former J.C. Penney Company building) between L.T.D. Properties, Inc., and Kim and Matt McKee dba Baby Solutions and Clothes Construction
It was moved by Council Member Hamerlik and seconded by Council Member Burke to approve the lease between L.T.D. Properties, Inc. and Kim and Matt McKee dba Baby Solutions and Clothes Connections, properties that are described in the agreement.
Kim McKee, Baby Solutions and Clothes Connection, retail and do consignment of gently used clothing and equipment.
Council Member Glassheim asked to be excused from voting on this matter because of potential conflict of interest. It was so moved by Council Member Hamerlik and seconded by Council Member Brooks. Carried 10 votes affirmative.
Upon call for the question on the motion and upon voice vote, the motion carried 10 votes affirmative; Council Member Glassheim abstaining.
ADJOURN
It was moved by Council Member Brooks and seconded by Council Member Kreun that we do now adjourn. Carried 11 votes affirmative.
