MINUTES/PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE
Monday, October 4, 1993 - 7:00 p.m.
Members present: Crawford, Geller, Hoeppner.
1.
Request by Breakout Billiards for wine and beer license.
David Davidshofer presented sketch showing premises. Mr. Swanson expressed some concern re. separating adults and minors, viewing areas and openness. After discussion it was moved by Crawford and Hoeppner that we approve the changing of the ordinance that would allow license for Breakout Billiards and determine that it is not primarily a retail business, and introduce ordinance for first reading. Motion carried.
2. Application by Happy Joe's Pizza and Ice Cream Parlor, 2909
S. Washington Street, for Class 3 alcoholic beverage license.
The application is being reviewed by the police department.
Moved by Geller and Hoeppner that we approve the application. Motion carried.

Moved by Geller and Hoeppner to approve. Motion carried.
4. Request by American Legion Post No. 6 to hold parage on
November 11, 1993.
Chief Paschke questioned blocking of street for formation and parade for 9 blocks from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Stanley Gilbertson, rep. American Legion, stated this is holiday and lot businesses closed; and that he doesn't know number of units. The committee directed Chief Paschke and Mr. Gilbertson to work out and to come back. Held in committee.
