MINUTES/COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
January 14, 1994 at 12:00 Noon, Civic Auditorium

Members present at roll call: Council Members Beach, Kulas, Hanson, Glassheim, Lien, Shores, Hagness - 7.

1. Snow emergency resolution.
It was moved by Lien and Beach that the city council pass a resolution declaring a snow emergency and that emergency funds be used to purchase additional salt and sand. Motion carried.

2. Discussion on snow plowing and removal process.
Gary Fish discussed the process now used for snow plowing and removal. There was much discussion of concerns, particularly having to do with driveway and snow at intersections. Consensus was to leave policy as is with Mr. Beach expressing idea of a news release. Ken Vein suggested raising fine for parking on street on snow cleaning day.

Kulas and Beach moved to ticket all vehicles parked on street on snow removal day and fine be up to $15.00.

Lien and Beach amended the motion so fine would be $25.00. Motion carried - 6 yes; Glassheim. no.

Motion as amended, 7 yes, 0 no. Carried.
