MINUTES/PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE
Monday, February 6, 1995 - 7:15 p.m.

Members present: Hoeppner, Johnson, Sande.

1. Bids for unmarked police vehicle.
Chief Paschke reviewed bids which had been received under bid for vehicles for various departments and had been reviewed and awarded by the public service committee to Hansen Ford in the amount of $13,610.50 (without trade). It was moved by Sande and
Johnson that we concur in the award of the bid to Hansen Ford in the amount of $13,610.50. Motion carried.

2. Applications for gaming permits:
a) Holy Family School - bingo and raffle on 4/28/95
b) Sons of Norway - raffle on 1/11/96
c) Grand Forks Exchange Club - sports pool on 1/31/96
d) UND Student Aviation Management Assn - raffle on 4/17/95
e) Wilder Elem. School PTO - bingo and raffle on 3/31/95.

f) Institute of Electronic & Electrical Engineers, UND - raffle on 3/3/95 (*contingent upon adoption of resolution as public-spirited org.)
g) Forx Builders Association - raffle on 3/19/95 (* contingent upon adoption of public-spirited resolution).

It was noted that applications a) through e) had been reviewed and approved by the city attorney. Moved by Sande and Johnson that these applications be approved. Motion carried. (comm. only)

It was noted that aps. f) and g) had been reviewed by the city attorney and approved subject to contingencies. Moved by Sande and Johnson that we adopt resolutions recognizing these organizations as public-spirited organizations eligible to conduct games of chance, and to approve the applications. Motion carried.
