MINUTES/PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE
Monday, October 16, 1995 - 7:15 p.m.

Members present: Hoeppner, Johnson, Sande.

1. Request by police department to call for bids for police
vehicles.
Chief Paschke reported that they bid half their fleet every two years; and that Ford Motor came to them on Thursday and said they are taking orders until November 30 and GM not building a police car. Chief Paschke submitted copies of bid specifica-tions, that they are bidding full-size vehicles, and noted that many of the items are listed separately but come in as a package. He asked for approval to call for bids for up to 7 vehicles with trade. Moved by Sande and Johnson to allow police department to call for up to 7 vehicles, with trade (one for one). Motion carried. 2. Applications for gaming permits:
a) Augustana Lutheran Church, Women of ELC - raffle 10/28/95
b) Holy Family School - bingo 11/21/95
c) National Assn. of Orthopedic Nurses/United Hospital -
raffle 12/15/95.
It was noted that all applications had been reviewed and approved by the city attorney. Moved by Johnson and Sande that the applications be approved. Motion carried. (comm. only)
