MINUTES/GROWTH FUND AUTHORITY
Monday, November 6, 1995 - 7:15 p.m.
The city council of the city of Grand Forks, North Dakota, sitting as the Growth Fund Authority, met in the council chambers in City Hall on Monday, November 6, 1995 at the hour of 7:15 p.m. with Chairman Carpenter presiding. Present at roll call were Council Members Beach, McCabe, Hoeppner, Hamerlik, Hanson, Carpenter, Sande, Babinchak, Geller, Johnson, Hagness, Mayor Polovitz - 12; absent: Council Members Glassheim, Klave - 2.
HOLD PUBLIC HEARING ON APPLICATION FOR
GROWTH FUND MONIES
An application by Conte Luna Foods, Division of Philadelphia Macaroni Company, a producer of industrial, food service, and retail pasta products, for a $134,600 grant to buy down the interest on a $1.6 million building expansion loan under the Bank of North Dakota P.A.C.E. loan program, had been considered by the Growth Fund Committee, who was recommending approval of the request from Philadelphia Macaroni for a $134,600 grant. Notice of the public hearing had been published as required.
Chairman Carpenter called for the public hearing and asked for comments from the audience and the Growth Fund Authority. There were no comments.
COUNCIL MEMBER BEYER REPORTED PRESENT
It was moved by Council Member Geller and seconded by Mayor Polovitz that the application for a $134,600 grant be approved. Upon roll call the following voted "aye": Members Beach, McCabe, Hoeppner, Hamerlik, Hanson, Carpenter, Sande, Beyer, Babinchak, Geller, Johnson, Hagness, Polovitz - 13; voting "nay": none. Chairman Carpenter declared the motion carried and the request for funding approved.
ADJOURN
It was moved by Council Member Hoeppner and seconded by Council Member Hamerlik that we do now adjourn. Carried 13 votes affirmative.
