MINUTES/FLOOD RESPONSE COMMITTEE

Members present: Glassheim, Hafner, Bakken.

1. Matter of Phase I of proposed buyout.
Moved to approve the plan (Mitigation Acquisition and Optimal Relocation Assistance Plan for Flood Disaster Relief (Areas A through J) and Optional Relocation-Acquisition Plan Benefits for Voluntary Acquisition Program). Motion carried.

2. Authorize funding for televising sewers in Area II.
Moved by Glassheim and Polovitz to authorize up to $150,000 for televising of Area II for sewers. Motion carried.

3. Matter of funding for FY 1998 feasibility study for flood protection.
Moved by Bakken and Polovitz that we contact the Congressional delegation requesting appropriate funding for FY1998 for the Corps of Engineers to proceed with the feasibility study for the flood protection project for the City of Grand Forks. Motion carried.
