MINUTES/PUBLIC SERVICE COMMITTEE
Monday, July 20, 1998 - 7:15 p.m.

Members present: Hafner, Lucke, Lunak.

1. Matter of consideration of construction bids for Project No.
4825, paving 47th Avenue South (Cherry to Wash. St.)
Mr. Grasser reviewed tabulation of bids with committee. Moved by Lucke and Hafner to award the project to Nodak Contracting in the amount of $78,825.20. Motion carried.

2. Matter of Urban Project Agreement for Federal Aid Project SV-
6-986(052)055, S. Washington from 40th Ave.S. to 47th Ave.S.
Copies of the agreement had been forwarded to the committee, the agreement is between the State of North Dakota and the City of Grand Forks, for the purpose of using federal funds to complete this project (proposed improvement is PCC pavement reconstruction and widening). NDDOT will procure federal funds for the project, and federal aid authorized for the project shall not exceed 80.93 percent of the total eligible project cost up to a maximum of $2,400,000.

Moved by Lucke and Lunak that the proper City officials be authorized to sign the agreement with the North Dakota Department of Transportation for Urban Funding contingent on review by the city attorney. Motion carried.
