MINUTES/URBAN DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
Monday, July 20, 1998 - 7:15 p.m.

Members present: Glassheim, Beyer, Polovitz.

1. Matter of management of parking authority.
Chairman Glassheim read the recommendation from the DDC that the Office of Urban Development be asked to manage the day to day operations of the CBDA (parking authority). It was suggested that they have review within a year, but Mr. Hanson suggested that they make this through the 1999 budget year.

Moved by Beyer and Polovitz that the council authorize the Office of Urban Development to manage the day to day operations of the CBDA (parking authority) through the 1999 budget year. Motion carried.

2. Matter of number and terms of CentraL Business District
Authority members.
There was some discussion with Urban Development reps. Moved by Beyer and Polovitz that an ordinance be introduced to change the membership of the CBDA from 7 members to 9 and that they serve one year terms. Motion carried.

Because of a meeting scheduled by the mayor's office for Wednesday noon on July 29 in the council chambers, the committee rescheduled their meeting for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29.
