Monday, June 7, 1999 - 6:15 p.m.

Members present: Babinchak, Brooks, Hamerlik, Carpenter.

1. Matter of police impound lot.

Mr. Schmisek reported that they have received offer to purchase lot (former street department building at 1518 Mill Road) by architectural firm and if going to sell, would have to declare surplus and offer for sale, and if offer for sale to include request for development plan and time frame; wouldn’t want to sell and keep in same condition. He also stated that if they declare surplus and offer for sale, will have to provide new site for impound and for landscaping equipment for grounds crew.

Bouley stated that the neighborhood wants them to get rid of the impound area (outside storage area for vehicles); and that lot would be freed up for moving in of historic house. Chief Packett stated they have looked at proposal for two acres of land on borrow pit site (near Simplot).

Carpenter reported present.
