Members present: Hafner, Lucke, Lunak.

1. Matter of consideration of bids for solid waste baling facility, Proj. 5086.
Todd Feland, asst. dir. of public works, Dale Bergom, WFW, and Charles Grotte, asst. city engineer were present. Mr. Bergom submitted tabulation of bids received and that their recommendation is to award as three separate prime contracts using Alt. bids which give another 30-days for completion; originally project was to be completed by June 30, 2000, but bidders complained that they needed longer time and City requested and received from the State Health Department an additional 30 days and Alt. 1 is for the additional 30-day completion time, which however, did not affect bids as they thought might happen; and it was recommended to go with the June 30, 2000 completion date.

Moved by Lucke and Lunak that we recommend acceptance of the following bids: General contract, Construction Engineers, Ltd. in the amount of $2,972,800.00; Mechanical contract, Lunseth Plumbing and Heating Co. in the amount of $356,398.00; and Electrical contract, Samson Electric, Inc. in the amount of $182,587.00. for a total project cost of $3,511,785.00.
