MINUTES
Grand Forks Civil Service Commission
June 10, 2004
The Grand Forks Civil Service Commission was called to order at 3:34PM by
Chairperson Johnson. Commissioners Bredemeier, MacGregor, Kvasager and Nies
present.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
It was moved by Nies and seconded by Bredemeier to approve the May 13, 2004
regular meeting minutes as amended to clarify Commissioner MacGregor’s comment
on page 3 in which he asked if the employee’s involvement would present work
load problems for the Department. All approve, motion carried.

CHANGES/ADDITIONS TO AGENDA
The following are changes/additions to the agenda as presented by Ms. Wilkie,
HR Generalist:
1) Information Only – HR Director Recruitment Update

ELIGIBILITY REGISTER
Civil Engineering Technician
It was moved by MacGregor and seconded by Kvasager to establish the eligibility
register at 70.50% as follows:
Lisa Klein
Paul Sethre
Julie Romig
Michael Carlson
Boyd Johnson
All approve, motion carried.

INFORMATION ONLY
HR Director Recruitment Update
Ms. Wilkie reported to the Commission the process used in screening the
applications, and stated the pre-screen telephone interviews will be held
Thursday, June 24th, 2004 and the final interviews be held Thursday, July 22,
2004.
Discussion held.

Lieutenant Grant Schiller
Lieutenant Grant Schiller stated to the Commission that he has been reassigned
to the Chief’s office, thanked the Commission and Human Resources, and reported
that Lieutenant Byron Sieber will replace him as the HR liaison for the Police
Department.

The meeting was adjourned by the Chairperson at approximately 3:58PM.
