MINUTES/COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE

The city council met as the Committee of the Whole on Monday, October 20, 2003 at 5:00 p.m. in the council chambers in City Hall with Mayor Brown presiding. Present at roll call wee: Council Members Brooks, Hamerlik, Glassheim, Gershman, Christensen, Kerian, Kreun - 7; absent: none.

2.1 Transfer of Lot 2, Block 1, Auditor's 34th Addition to the city of Grand Forks to James and Robin Murphy (located at 1714 Lewis Blvd. _______________________________________
Council Member Hamerlik questioned why special meeting and not included on last week's agenda. Mr. Warcup, asst. city attorney, stated the property that is being transferred is a lot that was created for the preservation of the structure that the Murphy's currently own, and in order to get this matter completed so the Murphy's can start with the actual relocation of the building this year, are trying to get this matter completed as soon as possible, the replacement lot was recently replatted so they can commence the relocation of the house this year. He stated they had hoped to give it as much notice as possible with the information that was available and this was as soon as they could get it on the agenda.

It was moved by Council Member Gershman and seconded by Council Member Hamerlik that we adjourn. Carried 7 votes affirmative.
