MINUTES - GROWTH FUND AUTHORITY (JDA)
Monday, June 28, 2004 - 7:00 p.m.________________
The city council of the city of Grand Forks sitting as the Growth Fund Authority met at the council chambers at City Hall on Monday, June 28, 2004 at the hour of 7:00 p.m. with Chair Person Gershman presiding. Present at roll call were Council Members Brooks, Hamerlik, Glassheim, Gershman, Christensen, Kerian, Kreun, Mayor Brown - 8; absent: none.
ELECT OFFICERS OF GROWTH FUND
Chair Person Gershman asked for motion for the election of officers of the Growth Fund Authority - chair person. Council Member Brooks moved the appointment of Council Member Gershman as chair of the Authority; Council Member Hamerlik seconded the motion. There were no further nominations and upon voice vote, the motion carried 7 votes affirmative.
Chair Person Gershman asked for a motion for the election of a vice chair of the Authority. Council Members Christensen and Hamerlik nominated Council Member Brooks as vice chair of the Authority. There were no further nominations and upon voice vote, the motion carried 7 votes affirmative.
Chair Person Gershman asked for a motion for the election of a secretary-treasurer of the Authority. Council Members Christensen and Mayor Brown moved the nomination of Council Member Glassheim as secretary-treasurer. There were no further nominations and upon voice vote, the motion carried 7 votes affirmative.
Council Member Brooks moved that the present members of the finance/development standby committee be appointed as the Growth Fund committee (Council Members Christensen, Hamerlik and Glassheim). Council Member Christensen seconded the motion. Council Member Hamerlik suggested changing the word present and that the motion be that the standby committee be members of the Growth Fund committee and would be continuous. Council Member Brooks accepted that as a friendly amendment. Upon call for the question and upon voice vote, the motion carried.

It was moved by Council Member Christensen and seconded by Council Member Brooks that we adjourn. Carried 8 votes affirmative.
