Grand Forks Civil Service Commission
December 8, 2005
Commissioner MacGregor chaired the December 8, 2005 meeting and called the
Grand Forks Civil Service Commission to order at 3:30PM. Commissioners
MacGregor, Kvasager, and Bredemeier present.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Held.

CHANGES/ADDITIONS
There were no changes or additions to the agenda.

REASSIGNMENT REGISTER
Office Specialist, Senior Fire
It was moved by Bredemeier and seconded by Kvasager to approve the reassignment
register at 91.00% for the Office Specialist, Senior as follows:
Janelle Menard

Discussion held regarding the Fire Chief’s request that if the candidate turns
down the position to move to the external applicants. All approve, motion
carried.

REQUEST FOR PLACEMENT ON RE-EMPLOYMENT REGISTER
Civil Engineering Technician
It was moved by Kvasager and seconded by Bredemeier to approve the placement of
Todd Herz on the re-employment register for a period of one year. All approve,
motion carried.

SELECTION CRITERIA
GIS COORDINATOR
Mr. Hovland presented this is a new position with the 2006 Salary Plan and
requested the following selection criteria for the position of GIS Coordinator:
75 pts. – Department Interview
25 pts. – Human Resources Interview
It was moved by MacGregor and seconded by Kvasager. All approve, motion
carried.

ADJOURNMENT
It was moved by Kvasager and seconded by Bredemeier to adjourn the December 8,
2005 regular meeting. All approve, motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at
3:40PM.
