Minutes of Grand Forks City Council/Growth Fund
Authority (JDA) - Monday, November 27, 2006____

The city council of the city of Grand Forks sitting as the Growth Fund Authority met in the council chambers in City Hall on Monday, November 27, 2006 at the hour of 7:00 p.m. with Chairman Gershman presiding. Present at rolls call were Council Members McNamara, Glassheim, Bakken, Kreun, Mayor Brown, Gershman - 6; absent: Council Member Brooks - 1.

AWARD CONTRACT FOR GENERAL SERVICES
ADMINISTRATION (GSA) TENANT FIT-UP

The staff report from the urban development director relating to General Service Administration (GSA) tenant fit-up, with recommendation to award contract for Corporate Center fit-up for GSA.

Greg Hoover, urban development director, reported that this item had been tabled at the last meeting because bids came in over the allotted amount by approx. $14,000, that staff worked with GSA and Social Security Administration and that Social Security has come up with money to fund the excess, and recommended award of the bids as follows: General Base bid to Diversified Contractors in the amount of $189,800.00; the Mechanical Base bid to McFarlane Sheet Metal for $47,500.00; and the Electrical Base bid plus alternate to Bergstrom Construction for $61,450.00; for a total of $298,720.00.

COUNCIL MEMBER CHRISTENSEN REPORTED PRESENT

It was moved by Mayor Brown and seconded by Council Member Bakken that the bids be awarded as recommended. Upon call for the question and upon voice vote, the motion carried 7 votes affirmative.

ADJOURN

It was moved by Mayor Brown and seconded by Council Member Glassheim that we adjourn. Carried 7 votes affirmative.
