Minutes of Grand Forks City Council/Growth Fund
Authority (JDA) - Monday, February 1, 2010 - 5:30 p.m.____

The city council of the city of Grand Forks sitting as the Growth Fund Authority met in the council chambers in City Hall on Monday, February 1, 2010 at the hour of 5:30 p.m. with Chairman Gershman presiding. Present at roll call were Council Members Bjerke, McNamara, Glassheim, Gershman, Christensen, Bakken, Kreun, Mayor Brown - 8; absent: none.

APPROVE LEASE RENEWAL FOR NATIONAL WIND

The staff report from the Urban Development director relating to National Wind lease renewal, with recommendation that the Growth Fund Committee had recommended that subject to city attorney review of documents, the JDA authorize lease with National Wind, LLC as follows: that National Wind has leased space in the Corporate Center II building, that the current lease expires January 31, 2010, and has requested to lease for another year at the same terms as currently exist: 1) $7,923.00 base rent annually, 2) $4,670.40 CAM/Operating expense annually; 3) two reserved parking spaces in the Central Parking Ramp; and 4) a 90-day notice to vacate/renew option.

Chairman Gershman asked for any questions or comments; there were none.

It was moved by Mayor Brown and seconded by Council Member Bakken to approve the recommendation of the Growth Fund Committee. Upon call for the question and upon voice vote the motion carried 8 votes affirmative.

It was moved by Mayor Brown and seconded by Council Member Glassheim to adjourn. Carried 8 votes affirmative.
