Grand Forks Civil Service Commission
July 8, 2010
Chairman MacGregor called the Grand Forks Civil Service Commission meeting to order at approximately 3:33 PM in the City Hall, Council Chambers. Commissioners, Bredemeier, and Nies were present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
It was moved by Commissioner Nies and seconded by Commissioner Bredemeier to approve the June 10, 2010 regular meeting minutes.
All approved, motion carried.
CHANGES/ADDITIONS to AGENDA
None
REASSIGNMENT REGISTERS
Wastewater/Stormwater Service Worker
Mr. Bergquist stated this is the first of two Wastewater registers. This register has two internal candidates and the department is recommending to place both candidates on the Reassignment Register. Mr. Kresel is here to answer any questions. Mr. Kresel stated that both internal candidates are real good applicants and the department would be happy with either one. It was moved by Commissioner Nies and seconded by Commissioner Bredemeier to approve the Wastewater/Stormwater Service Worker Register at 92.153%.
All approved, motion carried.

ELIGIBILITY REGISTERS
Wastewater/Stormwater Service Worker
Mr. Bergquist stated that this is the external Wastewater/Stormwater register and the department is recommending the register be set at 82.538%. This register would be used after the two internal candidates are hired from the Reassignment Register. Chairman MacGregor questioned if five candidates would be enough on the register. Mr. Kresel stated they were all great applicants and would take any of the five. It was moved by Commissioner Bredemeier and seconded by Commissioner Nies to approve the Wastewater/Stormwater Service Worker Register at 82.538%.

Equipment Operator - Streets
Mr. Bergquist stated that this register will be supplementing the original register, which has only two names left on it. The department is recommending the supplement register be cut off at 81.500%, which would add five to the current register of two. It was moved by Commissioner Nies and seconded by Commissioner Bredemeier to approve the one candidate for the Equipment Operator - Streets Eligibility Register at 81.500%.

It was moved by Commissioner Bredemeier and seconded by Commissioner Nies to adjourn the July 8, 2010 regular meeting. The meeting was adjourned at approximately 3:37 PM.
