The Grand Forks Energy Alliance (GFEA), part of the Green3 Initiative, helps residents of the City and County of Grand Forks to weatherize their homes to reduce home energy costs and improve energy efficiency of Grand Forks as a whole. The GFEA is a FREE service offering “one-stop” assistance to help you reduce your energy costs.

The GFEA is a joint Grand Forks City and County program funded by the U.S. Federal Recovery Act and administered by the U.S. Department of Energy. Another GFEA goal is to improve the local economy by providing work/jobs for local businesses.

As an objective 3rd-party, GFEA assists homeowners with:
  • Setting up energy audits
  • Reviewing results of the audit
  • Providing contact information about qualifying contractors to perform the suggested work
