We, the Grand Forks community, have the opportunity to take a leadership role in area of energy efficiency, reducing carbon footprints, and working toward a cleaner environment for ourselves and for our children.

The Green³ Grand Forks initiative will rely on a coordinated effort of community partners including residents, businesses, city government and various other organizations.

The principal goal of the Green³ Grand Forks Resource Committee is to help develop suggestions for tangible actions on a wide range of programs and policies involving the community at large, city government and community-wide entities. These suggestions will be well researched and organized into a living plan, i.e. one that can and will be continually updated.

The committee will also help engage the public through outreach and education. The committee will thoughtfully evaluate effectiveness, cost impact, and feasibility. The committee will balance the three tenets of Green³ Grand Forks: Cleaning our Environment, Increasing Efficiency, and Saving Money.
