Liquid paint is banned from the landfill. In a dried state, it can be landfilled in this least costly preparation method. Personal preparation saves the expense of doing these steps.

The City of Grand Forks thanks you for your time and effort to prepare your waste materials properly.

Your diligence helps to protect the environment and conserve valuable resources.

Sanitation Tip of the Week

SPRING CLEAN UP WEEK IS MAY 13-17, 2013

The City will collect reasonable household quantities of appliances, brush, furniture, etc. for free during this annual collection. The process is simple--put your items out on your refuse day where you normally place your garbage by 7:00 a.m. and the City will take them. If you choose to haul them yourself, the landfill has extended hours from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from May 4 to May 11, 2013 (except Sunday, May 5, 2013).
