Storm Sewer Cleaning

The Street Department cleans all catch basins in the city once a year. This helps our storm sewer system run at full capacity in the event of a heavy or prolonged rain event. Cleaning these catch basins on a regular basis also keeps contaminants from entering our water ways. Residents are reminded not to dump foreign matter into the catch basins as doing so will plug the catch basin and cause street flooding in rain events.

Public Works Tip of the Month

Seasonal Yard Waste Collection Services - ,From May 1st through September 30th you may place your yard waste (loose in cans - no plastic bags) where you normally place your garbage for pick up on your regular garbage collection day. You may also haul it to the landfill or to any of the yard waste sites around the city.
