MINUTES
Grand Forks Civil Service Commission
March 8, 2007
Vice-Chairperson Nies called the Grand Forks Civil Service Commission to order at approximately 3:35PM in City Hall, Council Chambers. Commissioners MacGregor, Burlog, Nies, and Johnson present. Commissioner Bredemeier absent.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
It was moved by Commissioner MacGregor and seconded by Commissioner Burlog to approve the February 8, 2007 regular meeting minutes as presented. All approve, motion carried.
CHANGES/ADDITIONS
HR Director Hovland presented one informational item:
1.) Handout of the Benefit Analysis Report to Commissioners.

ELIGIBILITY REGISTER
Firefighter
It was moved by MacGregor and seconded by Burlog to establish the Firefighter register at 72.00% as follows:

All approve, motion carried.

It was moved by Burlog and seconded by Johnson to establish the reassignment register for Firefighter, Senior at 66.045% as follows:

All approve, motion carried.





INFORMATIONAL ITEM
2007 Benefits Analysis Report
Mr. Hovland presented the Benefit Analysis Report for 2007 to the Commissioners for information purposes. Mr. Hovland informed the Commissioners there will be a meeting on April 10, 2007 to obtain information from NDPERS regarding potential for City employees to participate in the ND State Defined Benefit Pension Plan and stated he will keep the Commission informed.
ADJOURNMENT
It was moved by Johnson and seconded by Burlog to adjourn the March 8, 2007 regular meeting. All approve, motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at approximately 3:55PM.
