MINUTES
Grand Forks Civil Service Commission
September 13, 2007
Chairperson Bredemeier called the Grand Forks Civil Service Commission to order at approximately 3:32PM in City Hall, Council Chambers. Commissioners, Burlog and Bredemeier were present with Commissioner MacGregor on a telephone hookup. Commissioners Johnson and Nies were absent.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
It was moved by Commissioner Burlog and seconded by Commissioner Macgregor to approve the August 9, 2007 regular meeting minutes as presented. All approved, motion carried.
CHANGES/ADDITIONS
1.  Establish Selection Criteria for the position of Electronic Technician.
Moved to the last agenda item.

ELIGIBILTIY REGISTER

911 Dispatcher
It was moved by Commissioner Macgregor and seconded by Commissioner Burlog to establish the reassignment register for the 911 Dispatcher at 87.0% as follows:

All approved, motion carried.


REASSIGNMENT REGISTERS

Transportation Supervisor
It was moved by Commissioner Burlog and seconded by Commissioner MacGregor to establish the reassignment register for HR Specialist at 89.0% as follows:

All approve, motion carried.



Administrative Specialist – Municipal Court
It was moved by Commissioner MacGregor and seconded by Commissioner Burlog to establish the reassignment register for Administrative Specialist – Municipal Court at 74.0% as follows:

Jaime Riley
All approved, motion carried.
INFORMATION SYSTEMS RESTRUCTURING

It was moved by Commissioner Burlog and seconded by Commissioner MacGregor to advertise in the department only.

2. Programmer Analyst Sr. - Advertise in Department only.
It was moved by Commissioner MacGregor and seconded by Commissioner Burlog to advertise in the department only.
All approved, motion carried

3. IT Technician - Advertise internally and externally with internals looked at first per Commission policy. NO ACTION REQUIRED information only.
REEMPLOYMENT REGISTER
Network Analyst Katrina McNamee
It was moved by Commissioner Burlog and seconded by Commissioner MacGregor to approve the request of Katrina McNamee to be placed on the reemployment register for one year as recommended by the IS Director and the Mayor.
All approved, motion carried
SELECTION CRITERIA
Electronic Technician – Engineering & Public Works Departments
Engineering & Public Works Dept. Interview – 75 points
HR Dept. Interview – 25 points
This position works in both Engineering and Public Works departments so both will be represented.
It was moved by Commissioner MacGregor and seconded by Commissioner Burlog to approve the Selection Criteria at 75 points for the department interview and 25 points for HR interview.
All approved, motion carried.

It was moved by Commissioner Burlog and seconded by Commissioner MacGregor to adjourn the September 13, 2007 regular meeting. The meeting was adjourned at approximately 3:53PM.
