MINUTES
Grand Forks Civil Service Commission
August 14, 2008

Vice-Chairperson Burlog called the Grand Forks Civil Service Commission to order at approximately 3:30PM in City Hall, Council Chambers. Commissioners, Bredemeier, Burlog, MacGregor and Nies were present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
It was moved by Commissioner Bredemeier and seconded by Commissioner MacGregor to approve the June 12, 2008 regular meeting minutes.
All approved, motion carried.

It was moved by Commissioner Nies and seconded by Commissioner Bredemeier to approve the July 10, 2008 minutes for the cancellation of the regular meeting.
All approved, motion carried.
CHANGES/ADDITIONS
None
SELECTION CRITERIA CHANGE

911 Team Leader
Revised 911 Team Leader Selection Criteria is as follows:
25% Department
25% Outside 911 Agency
25% Current Customers (Police, Fire, Sheriff’s Office, UND)
25% HR
Discussion was held.  It was moved by Commissioner MacGregor and seconded by Commissioner Nies to accept the change to the Selection Criteria for 911 Team Leader.
All approved, motion carried.
REASSIGNMENT REGISTERS

Administrative Specialist - PW
Discussion was held.  It was moved by Commissioner MacGregor and seconded by Commissioner Bredemeier to establish the cutoff for the Administrative Specialist - PW register at 73.0%.

All approved, motion carried.
REEMPLOYMENT REGISTER

Firefighter – Justin Adolf
Discussion was held.  It was moved by Commissioner Bredemeier and seconded by Commissioner Nies to approve the request of Justin Adolf to be placed on the Reemployment Register for one year.
All approved, motion carried.

Master Police Officer – Nicholas Sonsalla
Discussion was held.  It was moved by Commissioner Nies and seconded by Commissioner MacGregor to approve the request of Nicholas Sonsalla to be placed on the Reemployment Register for one year.  
All approved, motion carried.
Public Health Nurse – Stacie Olson
Discussion was held.  It was moved by Commissioner MacGregor and seconded by Commissioner Bredemeier to approve the request of Stacie Olson to be placed on the Reemployment Register for one year.
 All approved, motion carried.
Office Specialist, Sr. (Fire) – Kimberley Nelson
Discussion was held.  It was moved by Commissioner MacGregor and seconded by Commissioner Nies to approve the request of Kimberley Nelson to be placed on the Reemployment Register for one year.
All approved, motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
It was moved by Commissioner Bredemeier and seconded by Commissioner MacGregor to adjourn the August 14, 2008 regular meeting. The meeting was adjourned at approximately 3:42PM.
