MINUTES/PUBLIC SERVICE COMMITTEE
Monday, August 1, 1994 - 7:00 p.m.

Members present: Hagness, Beyer, Klave, Hamerlik.

1. Matter of sanitary sewer on N. 51st from 6th to 7th Ave.
Moved by Klave and Hamerlik that we pass a resolution creating the assessment district, approving the engineer's report, including estimate of cost, an assessment district map, and further that we pass a resolution instructing the city engineer to prepare detailed plans and specifications, and that we declare intent to sell bonds to finance these improvements. Motion carried.

2. Matter of funding for Sewer Proj. No. 3821, Richard's West
storm sewer.
There was discussion relative to funding because of questions relative to amount of bids, which came in over engineer's estimate, the uncertainty of funding from EDA (grant), and possibility of re-bidding the project. It was moved by Council Member Klave and Hamerlik to refer back to public service committee with power to act on the award of the project. Motion carried.

3. Consideration of bids:
a) Project No. 4227, resurfacing 30th Ave.S. from S. 20th Street to S. 25th Street.
Moved by Beyer and Hamerlik to approve award to low bidder, Nodak Contracting in the amount of $36,575.00. Motion carried.

b) Project No. 4098, paving of S. 50th Street (Industrial Park).
Moved by Klave and Hamerlik that we approve award to low bidder, Nodak Contracting, in the amount of $48,897.00. Motion carried.
