MINUTES/PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE
Monday, November 6, 1995 - 7:00 p.m.

Members present: Hoeppner, Sande.

1. Applications for special/limited alcoholic beverage permits:
a) G.F. Goodribs, 415 DeMers, November 16
There was no one present to speak to this item.
b) Westward ho Motel, First American Bank Valley, November 7.
Scott Lindgren was present.
Moved by Hoeppner and Sande to approve the applications.

Mr. Lindgren asked if there was some way they could streamline process because of timing, sometimes get requests with only couple days advance notice. Sande questioned whether these applications could be approved by committee only.

Upon call for the question, the motion carried.

2. Applications for gaming permits:
a) Red River Valley Pheasants Forever - raffle 02/27/96.
The city attorney had reviewed and approved the application subject to being recognized as a public-spirited organization. Moved by Sande and Hoeppner to recognize the Red River Valley Pheasants Forever as a public-spirited organization eligible to conduct games of chance, and to approve the application for permit. Motion carried.

b) ND Chapter of the Wildlife Society - raffle 02/07/96
c) Winship Elem. School - bingo 11/13/95
d) St. Michael's School - raffle/bingo 11/17/95
All applications had been reviewed and approved by the city attorney. Moved by Sande and Hoeppner to approve the applications. Motion carried. (Comm. only).
