MINUTES/PUBLIC SERVICE COMMITTEE

Members present: Hagness, Beyer, Klave, Hamerlik.

1. Matter of request to call for bids for vehicle for planning
department.
Bob Bushfield reported they purchased used vehicle in 1990 (1990 Sable), vehicle now has 69,000 miles, that they have had some problems (brakes, etc.), could get by for another year, but have money budgeted in capital account for this year. He stated that at the end of 1995 had $80,000, and that they have had cut in mill levy so will cut into that money. Committee asked if vehicle road-worthy; and he stated that they have been taking vehicle out on the road. He stated they need access to vehicle, that if City goes to motor pool, they would have no problem with that and would put vehicle into that pool. Moved by Beyer and Klave to approve request to call for bids, up to budgeted amount. Motion carried; Hagness voted no. (committee only)
