MINUTES/PUBLIC SERVICE COMMITTEE

Members present: Hagness, Beyer, Klave.

1. Consideration of bids for Project No. 4450, 1996 Sanitary
Sewer Rehab.
It was noted that this work needs to be done this fall, so have accelerated bids, Duckstad Contracting is low bidder. Mr. Grasser reported there are two different areas/jobs, one on Minnesota Avenue and one on 800 block of Belmont Road, that the one on Belmont Road could collapse at any time, fund for the project would come from Sanitary Sewer Rehab Fund.

It was moved by Beyer and Klave to accept the low bid of Duckstad Contracting, Inc. in the amount of $61,132.50.

After some discussion and upon call for the question, the motion carried.

2. Matter of declaring emergency for moving of sludge at lagoon.
Mr. Grasser updated committee re. emergency work to move sludge out in the pond (delta built up on outfall lines), that they had received FAX from Mini-Dredge quoting price of $144.00/hour, that they have some monies budgeted to cover this. Mr. Grasser stated they will watch hours of work. (Information only)
