MINUTES/PUBLIC SERVICE COMMITTEE

Members present: Hagness, Hafner, Lucke.

1. Matter of consideration of bids:
a) Proj. 4756, paving Belmont Road and 47th Avenue South
Hugh Veit, KBM, Inc. was consultant - 5 bids were received and recommended award to low bidder was Strata Corporation in the amount of $229,720.40. Moved by Hafner and Lucke to accept the low bid. Motion carried.

b) Project 4746, paving S. Columbia Road from 36th Avenue to Ulland Park.
The committee reviewed bids received 3 bids - Strata Corporation low bidder in the amount of $17,572.44, which was below engineer's estimate. City will do inspection. Mr. Vein reported they asked Park District for monies because they asked for money on the drainage ditch, this benefits Park District and School District and southend housing development - School major user of this road. Moved by Hafner and Lucke that we accept the low bid of Strata Corporation in the amount of $417,572.44. Motion carried.
