1 Consideration of bids for sale of property at 1518 Mill Road and 1520 North 6th Street._________________________
The city auditor reported that this property offered for sale, received one bid from Melby Construction Services for $10,000.

Carpenter reported present.

John Herz, asst. city assessor, reported that the value assigned to the property made in 1997 was about $180,000 based on its condition and sine then look at it again and in reference to Melby’s bid not adequate; that the property of old Valley motor Building was $144,300 and property across street where quonset at $36,500; that the land value should be $2/sq.ft, the property value on the front parcel at $80,000 and parcel to the east $1.50/sq.ft. to $31,500, doesn’t have lot of value to either building.

After some discussion it was moved by Hamerlik and Brooks to reject bid of $10,000 from Melby Construction. Motion carried.

A second offer from Melby Construction Services was considered.

It was moved by Carpenter and Brooks to accept the offer of Melby Construction for $60,000 for 1518 Mill Road and to reject the offer of $20,000 for 1520 North 6th Street, contingent upon buyer receiving a conditional use permit to allow temporary usage as described in Phase I of the development plan and securing acceptable bank financing.
Motion carried.
