MINUTES/GROWTH FUND AUTHORITY (JDA)

The city council of the city of Grand Forks sitting as the Growth Fund Authority met in the council chambers in City Hall on Thursday, July 6, 2006 at the hour of 7:00 p.m. with Vice Chairman Brooks presiding. Present at roll call were Council Members McNamara (tele-conference) , Glassheim, Christensen, Bakken, Kreun, Mayor Brown, Brooks - 7; absent: Council Member Gershman - 1.

APPROVE GOVERNMENT SERVICES ADMINSTRATION
LEASE PROPOSAL FOR CORPORATE CENTER II

The staff report from the Urban Development director relating to Government Services Administration (GSA) lease proposal for Corporate Center II, with recommendation to authorize the execution of the lease with the GSA and authorize bidding for architectural and construction services. (Lease is for Social Security Administration, 402 DeMers Avenue).

There were no comments by the audience nor by the city council.

It was moved by Council Member Christensen and seconded by Council Member Glassheim that this recommendation be approved. Carried 7 votes affirmative.

APPROVE BATEMAN FARM LEASE

The staff report from the Urban Development director relating to Bateman farm lease, with recommendation to approve the attached lease (to farm and maintain +77 acres on the former Amazon site along 32nd Avenue South).

There were no comments by the audience nor by the city council.

It was moved by Council Member Glassheim and seconded by Council Member Christensen that this recommendation be approved. Carried 7 votes affirmative.

ADJOURN

It was moved by Mayor Brown and seconded by Council Member Bakken that we adjourn. Carried 7 votes affirmative.
