PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF GRAND FORKS, NORTH DAKOTA
April 11, 2001

The city council of the city of Grand Forks, North Dakota met in special session in the council chambers in City Hall on Wednesday, April 11, 2001 at the hour of 9:45 o’clock a.m. with Mayor Brown presiding, pursuant to call by Mayor Brown and that notice was given to all members of the council on April 11, 2001 except Council Members Glassheim and Bakken who were out of town.

Present at roll call were Council Members Brooks, Hamerlik, Gershman, Lunak, Christensen, Klave, Kreun, Martinson - 8; absent: Council Members Bjerke, Stevens, Burke, Glassheim, Bakken - 5; 1 seat vacant.

ADOPT RESOLUTION REQUESTING U.S. ARMY CORPS
OF ENGINEERS FOR FLOOD EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE

Mayor Brown stated that copies of the resolution requesting flood emergency assistance from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers were placed on the council members desks for their review and consideration.

It was moved by Council Member Gershman and seconded by Council Member Brooks that we adopt the resolution requesting assistance from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the flood emergency. Document No. 8069 - Resolution.

Upon call for the question and upon roll call vote, the following voted “aye”: Council Members Brooks, Hamerlik, Gershman, Lunak, Christensen, Klave, Kreun, Martinson - 8; voting “nay”: none. Mayor Brown declared the resolution adopted.

ADJOURN

It was moved by Council Member Hamerlik and seconded by Council Member Brooks that we do now adjourn. Carried 8 votes affirmative.
