          MINUTES/SPECIAL COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
          Monday, June 16, 2003 - 7:00 p.m.___________________
          The city council met as the Committee of the Whole on Monday, June 16, 2003 in the council chambers in City Hall with Mayor Brown presiding. Present at roll call were Council Members Brooks, Hamerlik, Glassheim, Gershman, Christensen, Kerian, Kreun - 7; absent: none.

          Mayor Brown announced that when addressing the committee to please come forward to use the microphone, give your name and address for the record, and advised the meeting is being televised live and taped for later broadcast.

          2.1 Consideration of bids for Project No. 5501, Dist. No. 417, sanitary sewer on 55th Ave.S. (Cherry Street to east edge of LeClerc's Addn.) and Project No. 5502, Dist. 275, watermain on Cherry Street (Southend Drainway to 55th Ave.S.) and 55th
          Ave.S. (Cherry Street to east edge of LeClerc's Addn.)________________________
          Al Grasser, city engineer, reported that this item with all the projects coming through, was scheduled to be on the committee of the whole agenda last week but was not included, that there are some follow-up projects that tie into these so there is urgency to proceed. The recommendation is to award to low bidder, Molstad Excavating, in the amount of $432,930.00.

          ADJOURN

          It was moved by Council Member Gershman and seconded by Council Member Glassheim to adjourn. Carried 7 votes affirmative.
