Minutes of Grand Forks City Council/Committee of the Whole

The City Council met as the Committee of the Whole on Monday, January 7, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall with Mayor Brown presiding. Present at roll call were Council Members Brooks, McNamara, Glassheim, Gershman, Christensen - 5; absent: Council Members Kreun, Bakken - 2.

2.1 Project Concept Report for Safe Routes to School Grants for Project Nos. 6177 and 6178.__________________________________________________
Council Member Gershman questioned why Wilder School does not have any
signage to the underpass and updating of that since that is major area with a highway.
Jane Williams, traffic engineer, reported this is the 2007 application that was done for
construction in 2008 and was based on a study that had already been done and that it did
not include Wilder School, that they have a project that is being funded with CDBG
dollars that is near Wilder School that will have the underpass and lighting, etc. It was
also noted that construction will be completed prior to school starting in the fall.

ADJOURN

It was moved by Council Member Gershman and seconded by Council Member Brooks
that we adjourn. Carried 5 votes affirmative.
