Grand Forks, ND – With the closure of the Point Bridge and the Sorlie Bridge, the City of Grand Forks would like to inform residents of traffic control changes on Gateway Dr.

The Grand Forks Police Department in conjunction with the Grand Forks Streets Department will be limiting left hand turns on Gateway Drive between Washington St. and the Kennedy Bridge.

Left hand turns will only be allowed at controlled intersections located at N. 5th St. and N. 3rd St. Signs will be posted, and the Grand Forks Police Department will be monitoring the area and enforcing traffic regulations.

The Grand Forks Police Department is asking residents to limit their left hand turns in the area to enhance traffic flow.

Also due to the bridge closures, Cities Area Transit will be modifying the East Grand Forks bus and dial-a-ride routes. The East Grand Forks bus will cross the Kennedy Bridge starting the north route (Route 10) at that point. The south route (route 11) will be covered by another bus and will transfer at Cabela’s in order to make the connection to Grand Forks. If there are any questions concerning East Grand Forks bus routes call (701) 746-2600.
