Applying for Employment
If you are interested in applying for a position with the Grand Forks Police Department follow these easy steps:
  1. You may only apply for a position with the City of Grand Forks when applications are actively being sought.
  2. Applications may be picked up directly from City Human Resources, downloaded from the city web site at grandforksgov.com, or downloaded from the application link below.
  3. Submit your completed application prior to the application deadline to Human Resources, City Hall, P.O. Box 5200, 255 N. 4th St. Grand Forks, ND 58206-5200.
  4. Most non-sworn positions require the following:
    • Job Task Specific Testing (identified in position announcement)
    • Background Investigation
    • Oral Interview”
    • Chief or Division/Bureau Commander Interview”
    • Polygraph Examination”
    • Health Assessment
    • Drug Screen
